Hub of the Volvo Ocean Race

The Viaduct and Silo Marina crews have greatly enjoyed being in the hub of the Volvo Ocean Race Auckland Stopover.
It all started on Tuesday 24 February with an exciting night out on the water welcoming the yachts to the Waitemata Harbour, and escorting them to their berths, not finishing until after 4am.
At the end of the 6,500 nautical mile race, the first five entrants finished within an hour each other.
